YMCA Weekend Open Gym.

Last weekend it was a horrible -2 degrees outside and I was in need of something to do with the kiddo's to get them out of the house since Tony was sick. Being the resourceful person I am I went online and found a link to the YMCA and discovered that on Saturdays they offer a program to the general public called an OPEN GYM TIME for $8 a family. The kids had a BLAST!!
Marv & Savy inside a tube that you can roll around in while someone on the outside pushes you.
A little floor hockey with a new friend.
Taking some time to smile for the camera. ( and yes we do look alike even more now that we have the same haircut.)
Luna's turn on the rolling tube.
Cheesing for the camera while cruising around the gym on a tricycle.
Savy riding on a toy I can remember playing with in the 90's but I can't remember what it is called.

A Sledding We Will GO!!!

So I thought the kids would enjoy getting out this weekend to go sledding so I looked up places that were FREE and I spent 1 hour fighting with them to get bundled up warm. Finally it was off to the sledding destination. I would like to say that we had fun and it was worth it but I'd be lying because the fun only lasted a few times down the hill.
Marvin running after his sled and savy holding on tight as he zooms down the hill.
No Comment!! This pictures says more then I could.
Savy before he started to complain because his fingers were cold... ( mom knows best when I say wear warmer gloves)
Before heading home it was a quick stop at the swings to stop her from screaming about hating the cold snow.

I really want to take them sledding again soon this time with 3 layers of EVERYTHING!!! We all live and learn...

Christmas in Maine.

We all had a great christmas this year and it was nice to spend it with our families again. Christmas Eve was spent with my mom in Augusta, ME Christmas Day was with Tony's mom in Standish, ME ( brunch ) then it was off to Tony's dads in Merrimack, NH. The kids got tons of stuff and were happy with everything. Thank you all who made the christmas season full of love and great memories.

Savy takes the stage

Before Christmas Savy's Kindergarden class put on a Fairy tale play and Savy was the fox from the gingerbread boy. He spent a whole week working on his lines in class and telling us about it at home. He was clearly VERY excited.

His classmates & himslef at the end of the production doing their bows. I was one proud mommy.
Savy and his friend Benton being foxes.
Marvin wanted to try on his big brothers head piece.
Before we left Savy gave us a tour of his classroom with all the special projects that they had been working on before Christmas break. This is his gingerbread house he made.

PJ Story Time with Mrs. Claus.

Tonight we went to the University Mall in our PJ's to have cookies&milk with Mrs. Claus as she read Christmas stories to the children.
Mrs. Claus read 6 stories ( I was impressed because I was expecting maybe two tops)
Savy was even picked to sit with her as she read " The night before Christmas" I was so happy for him.

Im assuming Savy took this one when he had my camera and I know that it is blurry but that look on her face says " I am watching you" in a VERY creepy way.
As always Marvin making himself as comfortable as possible . Note the cookie on the floor! Yeah that is his and yes he did eat it ( don't worry I did my part by telling him not to eat it but he did anyways.)
Mrs. Claus was such a sweet lady and the kids had a great time sitting on her lap and taking the picture for me.
No trip to the mall is complete with out a ride on the highly over priced motorized cars.
We had so much fun and best part is that this is a weekly event for the children in the area every Wednesday night until Christmas. Monday night its Movies with Santa...

Vermont is the Best!!!

A snowy day tea party

The kids were bored so I thought a tea party on a snowy sunday afternoon would do the trick.
On the menu:
Strawberry Kool-Aide
Cheese & Crackers
Choc. Mini Rice Cakes
( fancy i know) LOL

The party was attended by only the Princes and princess and their closest most favorite toy friends. ( big ducky, a power ranger and baby sarah)

It was a success and loads of fun, best part they all took naps after and slept for 3 hours..I WAS IN HEAVEN!!!

Mini Horse Rides!

Today we ran some errands around town. Attended the Lowes Build & Grow craft where we built mini train cabooses, then over to attempt the Michaels Christmas craft time, but that was cancelled for this weekend. So we picked up some small crafts to do at home instead. Then finally it was over to the mall to do some shopping. While walking around we ran into a person from a local farm giving free mini pony rides. You all know how much I love FREE!!! so of course we HAD to do it. ( we actually donated $3 to the ponys because they were so much fun)

The ponies name is Snickers. Luna loved him sooo much.
The fact that it was lightly snowing made it all the better too.
