Holiday Photo Session

Out of boredom I had the kids dress up in nice clothes and take pictures by the Christmas tree. They were all for it for about maybe 8 minutes then I was hard to get them to sit still long enough to capture a good group picture. I then had to bribe them with Ice Cream after.
The only good group shot I was able to get.
Luna Marie 2 1/2 yrs old
Marvin Zale 4 1/2 Yrs old

Gobble Gobble & Yum Yum!!

Today my mother and law, myself and the kids did a little thanksgiving food craft. We made Oreo Cookie turkeys.
Ingredients: reese mini bites, oreo cookies, candy corns, whoopers, choc. frosting and a belly for putting the master piece when done making it.
Luna didn't make one because well her belly wouldn't allow her to wait long enough to put it together.
Finished project.
YUMMY!!! As you can see these are delicious and quiet disgusting to watch someone to eat or at least to watch Marvin to eat. Now its time to officially say goodbye to the thanksgiving festivities and the best season of the year "FALL" and HELLO winter and Christmas.

First Snow Fall !!!!

First snow fall of the winter season!!!
You have no idea how excited and anxious I felt seeing snow fall out the window. We haven't seen snow in 2 years. I also was feeling dread because with snow comes bad roads and idiot drivers. Nevertheless the winter season is upon us and I can't wait to see what fun it will bring to us.

Burlington Church St & Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

With Thanksgiving finally come and gone its time to start the Christmas Season. I don't understand how people can start getting in the Christmas Spirit BEFORE the turkey is even in the oven for Thanksgiving. After having a low key dinner with the husband and kids. I washed the dishes and listened to the Christmas channel on Pandora ( internet radio) and started to get excited for Christmas...ESPECIALLY because we are so close to family again. ( my family in laws are the BEST cooks.... NO JOKE!!!) So today after Tony went off to work the kids and me headed down to the famous church St. for the tree lighting ceremony.

As always tons of people and live music to be heard!
We got there early so after scoping out the stage and event we headed over to Ben & Jerry's for Ice cream and hot chocolate. I got a coffee milk shake with WHOLE MILK because hey if I'm going to have a shake I want it to be worth the calories.
Luna enjoying her PINK ice cream..( pink is her favorite color)
After our little snack and warming up off the streets we headed out to wait for the lighting ceremony. As we left Ben & Jerry's we ran into a really skinny mickey mouse. Marvin was the only one brave enough to get a picture with him ( sorry it blurry i think there was ice cream on the lens.)
I love the display windows that CHurch St. has to offer.
After a count down the light were turned on and the Christmas season is now in full swing.. So beautiful. Im really looking forward to seeing what fun we can have in Burlington this winter..

Burlington ECHO museum.

This sunday we went to the Echo museum down on the waterfront in Burlington. We have been meaning to take the kids a few times since we moved here since it is sooo close to house house, but hadn't. I'm glad we finally made the trip over because we had a ton of fun.

The kids fun cove, where the kids can play in the water and learn at the same time.
Marvin touching a real live star fish.
Mr. Bull horn frog.
This is a REAL turtle reaching its head out of the water. I have never seen a turtle this big, so I was a big skeptical of the REAL LIVING BREATHING part until I saw it blink!!!
I guess Burlington's Lake Champlain has it's very own lochness monster known as "Champ" note to self no swimming in the water for me this summer.
Puzzle time with Luna & Tony
A little help from Marvin
A smile to show how much fun we had!!! After the museum it was off to dinner at Buffalo wings and things. So yummy!!!

Lowes Kids Craft & Playground

Today the kids and I went to the Lowes kids build & grow craft at the local Lowes store. This week was the kids built a periscope. Best part this is a FREE event every other weekend. ( new craft each time)
Here is what the kit comes with..
Luna was too busy eating her hello kitty marshmallow pop. ( GROSS) to bother with assembling her craft.
Marvin getting right to work building his though.
Savy put his together really fast and now putting the stickers on his periscope.
Oh course no trip out anywhere is ever complete without Marvin having to use the restrooms. Oh course as always he waits until the last very second to tell me and then the bathroom it seems is ALWAYS at the other end of the building.
My lunch : Chicken Salad on Greens with cranberries and almonds. YUMMY. We ate at the Farmhouse.
After Lowes and a quick stressful lunch we were off to the playground on Battery St.
Marvin pushing Luna on the swings, you can tell but she is screaming for him to stop because she wants me to do it instead.
Monkey boy Savy on the monkey bars.
Walking trail around the playground that I thought would make a good picture of.
After waiting their turn they all jumped up on the tire swings and tony pushed them around and around.
A father/son moment. I believe they were talking about the skate park and how it looked fun. ( you could see it over the edge of the wall.)

Dinner and a Snowboarding Contest

After 2 days of rain and cold weather, we all packed up and when into town.

Just parked the car and walking over to Church St. Savy is always trying to help out. Luna is sleeping in the stroller.
We enjoyed a nice early dinner out at Sweetwaters on Church St. This place was very fancy but still very kid friendly.
After dinner it was off to the snowboarding contest over on College St.
This big snow packed half pipe was huge in right in the middle of the street. The kids really enjoyed this, especially Savy who is know into skateboarding. I think he wants to learn to snowboard now after seeing this.
