Easter Weekend in Maine 2011

We had a blast this weekend in Maine for Easter 2011. We arrived at Tony's mothers house on Saturday afternoon, had some lunch then started in on the egg decorated celebration.

We decorated 30 eggs and we had so much fun. But with fun always comes a MESS!!
A few of our creations.
Having a little fun with their Papa Bill. I'm sure he felt this later that night.
After dinner it was time for a game of scrabble. Tony won but Savy was not far behind him.
A note from Harald the Easter Bunny.
It was hard to capture a good picture of the kids searching for the hidden eggs because they were EVERYWHERE seeking out the eggs.
Tony and Luna pretending to sulk. TOO CUTE!! Tony has it down to a tee.
The weather was BEAUTIFUL!!! Here are Julianna & Gracie hanging out in the front yard.
There was TONS of food as always. Tony and Erika weren't about to let it go to waste.
The proud Grammy Sharon and her first grandson Landon Phillip.
Uncle John and Uncle Phil talking and eating.
Luna looked so cute all dressed up like a pretty princess. I only wish she wasn't becoming such a tomboy so I could get her to wear more of them.
Luna and cousin Jillian.
We ended the afternoon with a group birthday celebration for Kyle, Gracie, Austin.

Orchard School Kindergarden Cafe.

Savy's class has been learning about businesses in the community. Earlier in the unit they went to American Flatbread, which is a local Burlington establishment. They were able to take a tour of the cafe and make their very own pizzas for lunch. As part of this the children hosted a cafe of their own and invited the parents.

My favorite waiter taking my lunch order. I got a Garden Salad and Fruit salad. Tony got a Turkey sandwich and a brownie.
What a handsome little devil he is!
All the kids wore matching white shirts and black pants with aprons. Each child had a certain job they were suppose to do.
All the table decorations were handmade by each child even the menus, which we were able to take home.

South Burlington's EGG-straviganza

This weekend I took the kids to Oakledge Park in Burlington to do FREE egg hunt. I could have asked for better weather but at least it wasn't snowing. If you live in New England you can get my point. Anyways it was so cold that we only stayed for about an hour.

This is what Luna walked away with. She could have gotten more plastic candy filled eggs but she wanted to eat the candy out as she was picking them up off the ground.
In between the set age group egg hunts we walked over to the huge tree house that is in the woods of to the side of the park.
Then it was back to the egg hunt fun again.
Savy filled his Easter bucket with no problem at all. In one of his eggs he got a free movie pass to see any movie he wants.
Marvin's filled bucket. Note the broken eggs, he didn't care he picked up what ever he saw on the ground.
Group picture with the Easter bunny.
Before we left we stopped by the tent to decorate sugar cookies.

Swinging Marvin... Matt ( my bro in law is in the background)
We had a blast playing kickball
On the way home while traveling through the White Mountains we came across this fox crossing the road. I have never seen a wild fox up this close before. I was EXCITED!!!
Bored on the 4 1/2 hours driving from Maine to Vermont, I started playing around with the camera.. I really liked this picture so I thought I would share it with all my fellow followers.

We also met Landon who is the newest addition to the family. He was born 2 weeks ago and he is absolutely precious. I was to busy kissing and holding the lil guy to stop to grab my camera and capture the moment. But come Easter I will be ready.

A day spent with my little sister and brother.

This weekend my little sister and brother came down to visit us. I was very sick most of the weekend but we did manage to get out to enjoy some free fun after I started to feel a little better.
This weekend was the Home Depot Kids Workshop. We made flowering pots.

Uncle Ryan and Marvin..My brother looks calm while assisting Marvin with his hammering. Thats quiet the swing he is setting up for.

Connor and his mom ( my sister) working hard to get the sides attached.
Luna all done making hers..I think she was trying to show me that it would make a great hat too.
Finished Project.
Before we left Home Depot I let the kids pick out ONE plant to put in their new flowering pots.
What a great day!
After the project at Home Depot we went to Pizza Putt again to play hard before everyone had to leave for Maine again.
