Our Almost Camping Trip!

This weekend we decided to go on a camping trip so we borrowed a tent and went shopping for camping food and supplies. The destination was Blue Springs State park outside of Ozark, AL (about 50 mins away from where we live.) The kids were so excited because we had so much fin the last time we went camping.
Marvin and Luna taking a nap along the way to Blue Spring State park.
Luna sporting her bathing suit, princess hat and candy corn pants!!! Personally I think Marv's dressing skills are rubbing off on his little sister.
I don't even KNOW!! Just Marvin being well Marvin!!
Camp fire nook!!
Our home away from home for the next 24 hours!!
Our sleeping arrangements.
Getting ready to go into the COLD springs..
Manmade pool from the springs. This water was sooo COLD I didn't get the change to go in because it started to rain..which actually put and end to our little short camping trip!!

After it started to rain we went back to our campsite to play some board games, but once we got back to the tent we realized that we had left the tent windows open and it there for rained on ALL our pillows and blankets. We ended up packing everything up and heading home to watch movies and have a small BBQ at home!!

MArvin starts Pre School

The day has finally come for Marvin to start Pre School, Savy has been going for about 2 weeks already and Marvin couldn't wait for it to be his turn to ride the big yellow school bus too.

Marvin attends the PM session so he doesn't go to school until 11:51 and Ollie is in the AM session so this picture was taken while Marvin waited for the bus and Ollie was getting dropped off. I never realized how much taller Ollie is then Marvin.
Thumbs up and ready to go to school.
Showing off his backpack he picked out himself.
Proud daddy with his lil pre schooler.
Marvin wanted to take a silly face picture, so this is what we got..the famous Difonzo tongue handing out picture.
Luna wanted in on the fun too. (once again with the tongue)
Marvin and Ruby are the only ones in the PM session that get on at our bus stop.
One more final thumbs up to let us know that he is OK!!! I about cried at this point. All the talking about Marvin going off to school was the easy part but watching him get on the bus and drive off in the bus was the hard part.
Marvin is sitting in the first window seat, waving and smiling too.
And the end of the day!
Here comes the big pre schooler getting off the bus at the end of his first day

Life is so hard being a big kid!!! But Marvin knows how to sit back and relax after all that schooling.

Birthday Party & Red Cross Emergency Packs

It was another busy Saturday at our house. We attended a birthday party for Addison who turned 5 yrs old earlier in the week. We also went to the Jacobson's church for the primary children's service activity. We attend the church function in the morning but for some reason it loaded the birthday pictures first instead.

Luna wearing her PARTY shoes. Its really funny how serious she takes her shoes attire when getting dressed.
The birthday girl Addy (wearing headband and mouth open) and friends hiding from the boys.
All the princess that attended the party, enjoying some pizza and snacks.
Marvin didn't want to play with the boys so he stayed with the girls. Here are his so called pretzel eyes as he put it.
Marv and Ollie enjoying a slice of pizza and holding hands
This was an activity for the girls & marv to do the markers you used for this wear ediable.
Pinata time.
The birthday girl looks to be enjoying herself.
Luna wearing all her food on her face and sporting the birthday girls princess pin.
All the kids at the church playing "Duck, Duck, Goose" Marv is sitting in the middle.
Marv & Ollie standing in line waiting to complete the emergency kits for the Red Cross.
Savy showing off his completed kit.
The children made about 40 emergency kits for the Red Cross today and I'm sure that they will go to good use to families all over the area. Good job kids!!!

Lowes Free Kids Project.

Today we went to Lowes to do a free kids wood project. We had so much fun.

Marvin assembling his bug box. ( & yes he's wearing a sweater in the Alabama heat.)
The kits they provided were so easy for the kids to use.
Luna and Tony working on her bug box.
Marvin putting the finishing touches and the last of the nails.
Savy wanted to build his without any help but in the end we needed to take it apart and redo the nails so that the viewing window would work.
Each kid got an apron, goggles, free ice cream card for wendys and an patch to sew onto their apron to take home.
Mission Compete as Marvin said.
After the Lowes activity we headed over for some pizza at Mellow Mushroom.. Tony took this picture of Marv and himself while we waited for our food to arrive.

What a great Morning we all had. I def. want to go to another Lowes Kids project day again. Now were off to a birthday party at 2pm.

2 Years

After 2 years I still fit in my old wedding dress!!! My friend Sarah and I have been watching a lot of the show "Say Yes To The Dress" and thought it would be fun to see if I still fit in my wedding dress I wore 2 years ago. I told her I didn't think that I would. But I DID!!! I forgot how much I love this dress too. (please excuse the black bra straps)

Back to School DIVE INN Movie!!!

Last night the housing put on a back to school dive-inn movie/night time swim for the military families living on post. There was free popcorn, water and popsicles for all that attended. The movie that is playing on the big screen is the Tooth fairy with the rock. Luna stayed home with Tony and I took the boys with me, we had tons of fun and it was a great way to end the summer.

Savy starts KINDERGARDEN!!!

Today Savy started kindergarden and will be going ALL day!!! This is something that Savy is not happy about. He says he can't wait to be a grown up and doesn't have to listen to anyone. Like teachers he says... ( little does he know that we all have to answer to someone wether we want to or not) but for now I will allow him the small thought that being a grown up is awesome!!! Regardless this morning he got dressed, had breakfast and strapped the new Ben 10 backpack and was out waiting for the bus with the rest of the kids on our street.

I hate when he smiles like this. But it was the best that I could get with all the rushing around.
His new backpack he got last week with daddy
Savy with all the other Kindergardeners that are at the bus stop + Lexi who is going into the 1st grade!! (L-R: Olivia, Skylar, Savy, Addison, Lexi)
Here comes the bus and the kids all lined up!! They all looked a bit scared and excited!
And off he goes!!!
