YMCA Weekend Open Gym.

Last weekend it was a horrible -2 degrees outside and I was in need of something to do with the kiddo's to get them out of the house since Tony was sick. Being the resourceful person I am I went online and found a link to the YMCA and discovered that on Saturdays they offer a program to the general public called an OPEN GYM TIME for $8 a family. The kids had a BLAST!!
Marv & Savy inside a tube that you can roll around in while someone on the outside pushes you.
A little floor hockey with a new friend.
Taking some time to smile for the camera. ( and yes we do look alike even more now that we have the same haircut.)
Luna's turn on the rolling tube.
Cheesing for the camera while cruising around the gym on a tricycle.
Savy riding on a toy I can remember playing with in the 90's but I can't remember what it is called.

A Sledding We Will GO!!!

So I thought the kids would enjoy getting out this weekend to go sledding so I looked up places that were FREE and I spent 1 hour fighting with them to get bundled up warm. Finally it was off to the sledding destination. I would like to say that we had fun and it was worth it but I'd be lying because the fun only lasted a few times down the hill.
Marvin running after his sled and savy holding on tight as he zooms down the hill.
No Comment!! This pictures says more then I could.
Savy before he started to complain because his fingers were cold... ( mom knows best when I say wear warmer gloves)
Before heading home it was a quick stop at the swings to stop her from screaming about hating the cold snow.

I really want to take them sledding again soon this time with 3 layers of EVERYTHING!!! We all live and learn...

Christmas in Maine.

We all had a great christmas this year and it was nice to spend it with our families again. Christmas Eve was spent with my mom in Augusta, ME Christmas Day was with Tony's mom in Standish, ME ( brunch ) then it was off to Tony's dads in Merrimack, NH. The kids got tons of stuff and were happy with everything. Thank you all who made the christmas season full of love and great memories.

Savy takes the stage

Before Christmas Savy's Kindergarden class put on a Fairy tale play and Savy was the fox from the gingerbread boy. He spent a whole week working on his lines in class and telling us about it at home. He was clearly VERY excited.

His classmates & himslef at the end of the production doing their bows. I was one proud mommy.
Savy and his friend Benton being foxes.
Marvin wanted to try on his big brothers head piece.
Before we left Savy gave us a tour of his classroom with all the special projects that they had been working on before Christmas break. This is his gingerbread house he made.
