Marvin turns 6

So my middle child turned 6 years old a few weeks back and it has taken me a long time to finally post the pictures but life has been quiet crazy lately. Anyways Marvin this year wanted to have a Batman Party and me being the awesome mom let him dress up as what ever character from the Batman movies that he wanted..He picked the JOKER!!!! The party was hosted at the park down the street from our house and it was cold.( damn mother nature didn't she know that it was suppose to be nice out.) We also had to have it the weekend after his original birthday because I had surgery on his birthday and was not at all up to celebrating anything other then the couch and my coming out alive, ( I had an allergic reaction the anesthesia) Now on the the party fun!!!

Here is the cake I am going to attempt to decorate for the first time EVER!!! 2 layers of marble sheet cake with vanilla buttercream frosting in the center.
2 hours later this is the finished product..Not bad for my first time!!

These were blank royal blue gift bags I bought at the party store (12 bags for $1.99) and then printed the batman logo and glued them on to ALL 12 bags for a little added touch. In the gift back was a giant choc. chip cookie, stickers, tattoos, superhero trail mix and the bottle waters that also have a cool superhero logo on them.

Enjoying the yummy snacks.
On the birthday Menu:
2 faced PBJ sandwiches
penguin tuna sandwiches
Bat droppings ( choc. covered rasians)
Poison Ivy slime juice
cheese and crackers
robins chips and fire hot salsa
cat woman claws ( bugles)
*Mentioned food items above were ALL made up by Marvin*

Taking a trip down the slide
 WHY SO SERIOUS!!!
These the smile I love..HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARVIN. I can't believe he is already six.
He wore his costume all day here he is dying easter eggs and putting a puzzle together.

Even though it was cold all the kids had a blast with the fun games that we had planned.
Mr. Freeze Tag, Vaporizing the bad guys with silly string and face painting.
I really enjoyed making marvin's joker costume with him and it was funny how long our hands were purple after we dyed his clothes.
* BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT*

Up to no good..and bowling

We haven't been up to much since the weather is ALWAYS so COLD!! But we have been keeping ourselves busy never the less.
We made homemade Ice Cream that only consisted of heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, nutella, and reese's chips. It was YUMMY!!
Luna became a warrior flexie princess thanks to her brothers.
Last night we thought about how we have been so busy with work and other things that keep us from just having fun as a whole family that we made yesterday the official DiFonzo family fun night.
We went bowling and the kids really love to wear the shoes. They wanted me to take a picture of their feet. ( savy, luna and mine)
Marv was to excited to start to bowl to stop and take a picture of his shoes.
While we waited for a lane to open up for us to use we spent time in the arcade area and played a few games of air hockey. I really love the pictures that my new app takes on my iphone.
After bowling it was over to the new Jack & Grill resturant. The prices were fair and the food was delicious.
After all this fun it was a quick stop at the local redbox for movie selections and munches to enjoy in mommy & daddys room all night long.

We had a great day really makes you want to slow down more and enjoy the time we all have together because times flys and the kids aren't getting any younger.

Marv loses TWO teeth!!!

Marv FINALLY lost his FIRST & SECOND tooth within 48 hrs of each other!!

Missing tooth # 1 ( see other tooth is looking loose too)
Missing tooth # 2 ( now he looks like our bulldog Ruby)

marvin didn't even cry he actually laughed the whole time that he was pulling them out!! I can't believe that he has gotten so big over this past year.. Luna on the other hand keeps coming up to us telling us that her teeth are getting loose too!!

Random Pictures!

I realize now that I didn't bother to take any pictures during the holidays!! BAD MAMMA D!!! regardless here are a few that I took with my phone.
This was a gift I made with the kids to give to Tony for Christmas. This is a free drawing in a white t-shirt. It was more of a funny creative gift then anything, but I think that every father needs one of these. The point of it is for the father to wear it and lay on his tummy ( while playing a video game, reading a book or just being lazy) and the kids drive mach box cars over the roads. Its a back scratcher and kid entertainer all in one!!!
Luna showing off her santa outfit she wore for her preschool caroling at the elderly center.
Luna hard at work making a pine cone ornament for the school holiday tree.

Another Pinerest.com Craft

Another Pinerest.com idea I did for a Christmas Gift!!

Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween. Here are a few pictures that were captured to celebrate the fun that Halloween brings!
My three crazy kids showing off the funky glasses that they got in the mail from their nonnie in Maine. They loved these.
Luna was Hello Kitty!! I refused to allow her to wear the get up that they were selling at hot topic ( thigh high combat boots and fishnet stockings with a barely there skirt and mid rift top) so we made her a more sensible hello kitty costume.
Savy is a Ghoul, Marv is Buzz Light Year and Luna as Hello Kitty.
A nice stroll through the the trails of Vermont!! This picture doesn't even do the actual scene its due justice.

Homemade Gift

I am addicted to Pinerest.com. For those who are not aware of its awesomeness, please check it out and you'll quickly see what I mean. Any who this is my first attempt at making a homemade gift via a collective idea from Pinerest. The gift was made for my wonderful mother in law.
The handprints are actually our very own handprints placed on a huge poster board then scanned into the computer and photoshopped to make it fit a 8 x 10 picture frame. I meant to take a finished picture of this in the actual frame but with the holidays being so busy with work and three kids out of school. I kind of forgot.
