Burlington Church St & Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

With Thanksgiving finally come and gone its time to start the Christmas Season. I don't understand how people can start getting in the Christmas Spirit BEFORE the turkey is even in the oven for Thanksgiving. After having a low key dinner with the husband and kids. I washed the dishes and listened to the Christmas channel on Pandora ( internet radio) and started to get excited for Christmas...ESPECIALLY because we are so close to family again. ( my family in laws are the BEST cooks.... NO JOKE!!!) So today after Tony went off to work the kids and me headed down to the famous church St. for the tree lighting ceremony.

As always tons of people and live music to be heard!
We got there early so after scoping out the stage and event we headed over to Ben & Jerry's for Ice cream and hot chocolate. I got a coffee milk shake with WHOLE MILK because hey if I'm going to have a shake I want it to be worth the calories.
Luna enjoying her PINK ice cream..( pink is her favorite color)
After our little snack and warming up off the streets we headed out to wait for the lighting ceremony. As we left Ben & Jerry's we ran into a really skinny mickey mouse. Marvin was the only one brave enough to get a picture with him ( sorry it blurry i think there was ice cream on the lens.)
I love the display windows that CHurch St. has to offer.
After a count down the light were turned on and the Christmas season is now in full swing.. So beautiful. Im really looking forward to seeing what fun we can have in Burlington this winter..
