Savy Turns 5 Years Old!!!

I can't believe that my little man is well turning into such a BIG boy. Wednesday, October 14th Savy woke up to celebrate his 5th birthday. We started the morning out with a big hearty breakfast of pancakes and savys favorite sprinkles, fresh peach slices and milk. Savy's best friend Trevon (whose 7 yrs old) spent the nite before over plus the kids were on Fall break so there was no school, I still had to work that day but that didn't stop us from having fun. After Lunch be invited a few more little friends over to sing "Happy Birthday" and have cupcakes. Savy really enjoyed that and well the kids did too because my floor was a mess after all the kids left and I got the daycare kiddos tucked away for nap time. ( I LOVE NAP TIME!!! just a side note) After I got done with work and Tony got home we decided that a special day such as a birthday is entitled to a dinner out ( Birthday boys choice) Savy decided that he wanted to go to Applebee's, so off we went. After returning from a great dinner we iced the cake and sang "Happy Birthday"AGAIN!!! Then it was time to OPEN THE PRESENTS!!! We bought savy a new bike for his birthday because he has out grown the old one. ( he has been riding 2 wheels since he turned three anyways) He was so excited that we let him open all the other presents that his nonnie sent him so he got a new helmet, gloves, pads, electric horn ( another side note ANNOYING ) License plate with his name on it and a water bottle to attach to his new ride. From Grampy he got a new bumble bee transformer arm. ( again annoying). The this Saturday October 17th we had a BIG PARTY, with the theme of bikes. All the guests ( 21 to be exact) rode thier bikes to the party. We had hotdogs, homemade Mac&Cheese, salsa, chips, homemade jalp. poppers ((Jalp. stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon)( SO HOT BUT SO YUMMY))After eatting and letting the kids play in the back yard, I rounded all the kids up and we went on a little bike ride around the block. Its was nice the weather actually felt like Autumn with a temp of 65ish and also because some of the mothers said that the ride was the longest their child ridden a bike. (hence it's so hot in Alabama to ride anywheres). After the bike ride it was time for the cake and presents. I didn't do the traditional birthday cake thing for the party because he has already had cupcakes and cake on the actual day earlier in the week. So instead we stuck the candle in so homemade fudge brownies and sang the "Happy Birthday" song then we made ice sundea's with all the fixings. ( YUMMY). The party was a big hit and super crazy as well because there were soooo many kids in one place, but everyone had fun and the party turned out to last 5 1/2 hours.
