Picture Perfect!!!

The other day I felt like walking around Burlington, VT window shopping on Church St. with the kids. So that is exactly what we did. But I noticed while walking around that Down town Burlington has the most beautiful and creative ways of expression through the arts. So I pulled out my camera and started capturing it's beauty.

You don't see old fire stations like this anymore and this is still a open and working one too.
Leddy Park over in the North End of Burlington. I went for a walk with the kids in the morning and I was seriously ready to build a house here. I would love waking up to this view every morning.
To the right of the picture above. ( Leddy Park)
Wooden steps down to the water.
This creative piece of metal work was on the side of a church building.
I've passed this wall a million times since moving here but never thought to take a picture of it... I am so glad I finally did because I want to get it framed and hung on my wall at home.

Savy & TeeBall!!

Savy FINALLY had his first baseball game tonight after all those weeks of cancelled practices from the rain and flooding weather we had here in Vermont. He was so excited to play in his first game.

Team stretching before the big event.
I am the team parent so I was in charge of making the official team banner.
Thumbs up from my favorite Tampa Bay Ray player.
Group picture of a few of his buddies.

Catching a fly ball in the outfield
Marv and Luna were SOOOOO bored I finally let them take silly pictures.
They wanted me to be in one too so here it is
I hope this loads!!! Video of Savy hitting a run for his team.

Mothers Day Stroll in the Park.

Today we went to the Battery St. Park for a bike ride with the kids (first of the spring season)
Marvin is super excited to be riding his bike again. Now if only would let us take his training wheels off.
To cute!!!
A random lady driving by the park stopped on the street to ask if the Savy, Marv and Luna were mine, when I said yes she gave me a gift bag left over from a Mothers Day fundraiser earlier that morning... In the bag was fresh local baked rolls, buttery croissant, cheese, strawberries and homemade chocolates. YUMMY!!!! of course the kids ate it all.
Savy doing a little off rode biking..
REASON # 1 I love living in Vermont ( the beautiful views)
REASON # 2 I love living in Vermont ( unique art structures)

The weather was beautiful for a change after a whole week of rain and flooding. We had a blast and can't wait to go again next weekend.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS OUT THERE!!

Easter Weekend in Maine 2011

We had a blast this weekend in Maine for Easter 2011. We arrived at Tony's mothers house on Saturday afternoon, had some lunch then started in on the egg decorated celebration.

We decorated 30 eggs and we had so much fun. But with fun always comes a MESS!!
A few of our creations.
Having a little fun with their Papa Bill. I'm sure he felt this later that night.
After dinner it was time for a game of scrabble. Tony won but Savy was not far behind him.
A note from Harald the Easter Bunny.
It was hard to capture a good picture of the kids searching for the hidden eggs because they were EVERYWHERE seeking out the eggs.
Tony and Luna pretending to sulk. TOO CUTE!! Tony has it down to a tee.
The weather was BEAUTIFUL!!! Here are Julianna & Gracie hanging out in the front yard.
There was TONS of food as always. Tony and Erika weren't about to let it go to waste.
The proud Grammy Sharon and her first grandson Landon Phillip.
Uncle John and Uncle Phil talking and eating.
Luna looked so cute all dressed up like a pretty princess. I only wish she wasn't becoming such a tomboy so I could get her to wear more of them.
Luna and cousin Jillian.
We ended the afternoon with a group birthday celebration for Kyle, Gracie, Austin.

Orchard School Kindergarden Cafe.

Savy's class has been learning about businesses in the community. Earlier in the unit they went to American Flatbread, which is a local Burlington establishment. They were able to take a tour of the cafe and make their very own pizzas for lunch. As part of this the children hosted a cafe of their own and invited the parents.

My favorite waiter taking my lunch order. I got a Garden Salad and Fruit salad. Tony got a Turkey sandwich and a brownie.
What a handsome little devil he is!
All the kids wore matching white shirts and black pants with aprons. Each child had a certain job they were suppose to do.
All the table decorations were handmade by each child even the menus, which we were able to take home.
