Homemade Gift

I am addicted to Pinerest.com. For those who are not aware of its awesomeness, please check it out and you'll quickly see what I mean. Any who this is my first attempt at making a homemade gift via a collective idea from Pinerest. The gift was made for my wonderful mother in law.
The handprints are actually our very own handprints placed on a huge poster board then scanned into the computer and photoshopped to make it fit a 8 x 10 picture frame. I meant to take a finished picture of this in the actual frame but with the holidays being so busy with work and three kids out of school. I kind of forgot.

Essex Pool & Splash Park

Yesterday I wanted to change up our water play fun from the beach to the public pool. I went online and discovered that there was a public pool and splash park in Essex ( 12 min drive ) and you can play ALL DAY for $3 per person. We had so much fun too bad I found it at the end of the summer.

Gotta love that smile!
A split in the water

God Bless AMERICA

This year we had a super busy long weekend of beaching it and hanging out with friends. Which we had made the trip home to Maine to be with family, but we didn't so me being the creative event planner on a budget I went right to work filling our days. On the actually holiday we started our morning with waffles, blue berries and strawberries slices ( red, white & blue) then it was off to the Colchester, VT parade in the village. After that we went to the beach for the rest of the day. Once we got our fill of sand and water we headed home for a BBQ and Ice cream cones. We ended the evening with 2 hrs at the playground and a 20 min ( not impressive) fireworks display.

Savy and myself being silly while waiting for the parade to start.
Yay for America.
Before heading home we built this sand mermaid it took 45 mins to make but only 13 seconds for savy to destroy.
Good eats and even better friends

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!
