The Great Pumpkin Races on Lake Champlain, VT

Over the weekend we attended our very first Vermont outting. Thanks to Peter who called us to remind us that the Pumpkin races were going on and he offered to escort us to the grand event. I have never seen pumpkins at such a large mass before this day.. They were actually big enough for grown men and women to sit in!!! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day either.
Lake Champlain dock, where the races took place.

Group picture of the posse at the event, and yes that is Ruby with us, Vermont is very dog friendly. Seems everyone HAS one.
And the starting point of the race once again but this time with the competing pumpkin racers.
and their OFF!!!
Around the bend they go!!!
Couldn't help but take this picture! I am so in love with the scenery one can find around every corner of Vermont.
Court yard where we all stopped to enjoy some Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
Yes SIZE DOES MATTER!!
After the races and some ice cream it was off to Church St. to see what was happening. This is water fountain is located at the end of the street.
This is a picture of a LIVE woman sitting on Church St. She was trying to make tips by covering herself in white paint and sitting so still that I actually thought it was a statue until I saw a faint blink of her eye while watching closely.

Wordless Wednesday ( a day early)

Ollie & Marvin

Late night swim at the pool

A few nights ago the boys, myself and a some friends put our swim suits on and walked to the community pool for a late night swim and movie. There was a whole lot of swimming and not a lot of movie watching but we had a blast either way.

Prob. the last time this year that Marvin will be able to snorkle and he was making the most of it.
Such a brave little man now!! He has come such a long way with his fear of water.
Savy and his best friend Isaiah ( & Luna's first crush)
Smiling and being silly
Baby Luke sleeping the whole time off
Marvin and Addison enjoying some popcorn during a moment out of the water. Looks like Marv likes the popcorn!!

School Lunch with Savy.

Today Tony and I had a chance to go to Savys school to have lunch with him. He had asked us to go lastnight before he went to bed and how could be turn him down ( no matter how gross the food was going to be) we had nothing else to do at that time so we went.
The door to the Cafeteria.
He was so happy to see us at his school, as you can tell from the huge smile on his face.
Helping us find a table!
This is what we ate!!! GROSS!! I believe the lunches I had at school were way better then what they offer here!
Happy Savy smiling while daddy steals some choc. milk
